Following the death of his son James, who battled cancer for several years, Robert Redford seeks solace in his family.

According to reports, James, a 58-year-old director, died suddenly on Friday as a result of bile-duct cancer that grew in his liver.

According to a spokesman for the actor, Robert Redford “is mourning alongside his family during this terrible time and wants for solitude.”

“The pain of losing a kid is unfathomable,” the speaker went on to say.

“Jamie was a loving father, husband, and son who was devoted to his family.” His children will carry on his legacy, as well as the works of art, films, and unwavering commitment to environmental preservation that he created.”

According to Kyle, James’s wife, “James’ cancer was diagnosed in November of last year while he was awaiting a liver transplant as a result of the recurrence of his liver problem two years earlier.”

“Today Jamie passed away,” Kyle tweeted. He was well-liked and lived a great, fulfilling life. Everyone will miss him terribly.”

“What I am most grateful for are the two lovely children that we were able to raise together over the span of my 32 years as his wife.” I’m not sure what we would have accomplished in the preceding two years without their help.”

According to insiders, James, often known as Jamie, has had a lot of health issues since he was a child. According to his IMDb page, he was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, an extremely rare autoimmune illness that affects the liver.

He received not one, but two liver transplants in 1993, after which he formed the James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

His wife Kyle and their two children, Dylan and Lena, outlive James, Robert Redford’s third child.

The pain of losing a child is devastating, and no parent should ever have to go through it. During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with Robert Redford and the rest of James’ family. I feel terrible for you all.

James, may you find comfort and peace in the garden of the Lord in your hour of need.
