Your kidneys are continually filtering your blood, ensuring that waste items depart your body through urine, and we’re here to help you help your kidneys perform even more efficiently! Toxins build up and make it difficult for your kidneys to do their function when you live an unhealthy lifestyle, which is why being hydrated is so vital. Adequate hydration can aid in the prevention of kidney disease, kidney stones, and toxic buildup in the body. Yet, parsley can assist your kidneys much more! Parsley is high in vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, and iron, all of which are beneficial to kidney function. Parsley also has the following properties: antimicrobial, antianemic, menorrhagic, anticoagulant, antihyperlipidemic (lowers blood fat), antihepatotoxic (prevents liver damage), antihypertensive (lowers blood pressure), diuretic, hypoglycemic, hypouricemic, anti-oxidative, estrogenic (helps manage menstruation). Parsley is used in traditional medicine to help control kidney stones.

Taking parsley tea aids in kidney cleansing by boosting urine production and flow, which may “push” kidney stones out. It is also supposed to limit salt absorption into kidney tissue, hence avoiding kidney stone formation. This tea can also be used to relieve anxiety and calm nerves; fresh herbs make a more potent tea, but dried parsley leaves can be substituted.
