Selena Gomez has disclosed that she is taking a hiatus from social media, stating to fans, ‘I’m too old for this’.

During a live TikTok video, the Only Murders In The Building actor informed to viewers that she would do a fast app cleansing.

“I’m going to take a break from social media since this is a little stupid,” she explained.

“I’m 30 years old and far too old for this. But I love you all very much, and I’ll see you all soon.

“I’m just going to step away from everything.”

Her remarks come after many speculated whether her and Hailey Bieber had a falling out when a video aired on TikTok.

Indeed, I thought this story was finished.

When a video of Bieber presenting on stage alongside Method Man surfaced, the rumor mill went into overdrive.

Method Man teases a “one-on-one rap battle full of the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift’s last album” in the video, to which the model sticks her tongue out and rolls her eyes.

The user sought to expose Hailey as a “mean girl,” according to the video’s caption.

Swift’s longtime buddy Gomez commented on the video, saying, “So sorry, my closest friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”

But, the actor has been contemplating leaving the digital game for quite some time.

The ‘We Don’t Speak Anymore’ singer previously stated that she has fully abandoned social media, with the exception of TikTok.

The 30-year-old said that her staffers oversee the majority of her social media profiles.

“The only thing I have on my phone is TikTok because I find it to be a little less harsh,” she told Vanity Fair earlier this month. Connecting with people, seeing how happy and pleased they are, and hearing their tales are all amazing aspects of social networking.

“But, that is frequently filtered through [for me today]. I devised a system. I email everything I do to my helper, who posts it.

“In terms of comments, my team will put together a few positive things.”

Her TikTok account has been disabled and cannot be found since her announcement.

So, for the time being, if you want to contact Gomez, fax her or send a message in a bottle.
