American Pickers has been on the air for nearly a decade, and viewers seem to enjoy it. It stars Mike Wolfe, an antique and collectible picker, and Frank Fritz, who is no longer on the show due to a bad back injury and a feud with his co-host. The two travel across the country “picking” various objects for selling, clients, or their personal collections.

They rummage through people’s homes, garages, and basements looking for treasure.
Wolfe and Frank have become one of television’s most famous duos over the course of more than 300 episodes, but their friendship appears to have soured. Frank admitted that he and Wolfe hadn’t talked in two years.

Frank had some personal issues, and physicians weren’t hopeful about how much time he had left at the time. He seemed to be doing better than previously. He has lost a large amount of weight and has been sober for quite some time.

Mike Wolfe revealed that the show experienced a loss when Bob Peterson, who had been on the series on numerous times, died.

Wolfe posted a touching homage to his friend on Instagram, complete with images and video footage of Peterson. He admitted that Peterson was much more than a show regular, and that he was Wolfe’s main mentor.

“A few days ago, we lost a man who served as a mentor to us.” Not only with mechanical devices, but also with how we should spend our lives. Bob was an inspiration to us as someone that loved life and grasped each day with so much zest. Always willing to assist with such conviction and, of course, fun. He belonged to a period that we can only fantasize about now. He made my life, and the lives of so many others, better. He’ll be sorely missed. “I adore you, dear friend,” wrote Wolfe.

Several fans of the show expressed their sympathy and support. What a beautiful chuckle and nice demeanor. “I’m sorry for your loss, my brother,” one user remarked. “I loved seeing him and Robbie work on projects,” said another admirer.

We are deeply saddened by Bob Peterson’s death. May his soul rest in peace.
