If you’ve ever worked as a waitress, you know how physically hard the job is, as well as how difficult it is to make tips.

Consider doing this physically hard job while nearly 8 months pregnant.

Courtney English, 23, is about to have her first kid. As she prepares to give birth, she works as a waitress at the Lamp Post Diner in New Jersey.

While preparing for her big arrival, the dedicated waitress is working hard to pay the bills.

While performing her shift, she serves a local police officer while holding her infant and smiling normally.

Even though his bill is only $8.75, what he puts on it brings Courtney to tears.

The industrious waitress is trying to save as much money as she can before the arrival of her child.

Brian Cadigan, Courtney’s father, characterized his daughter as “a strong young girl.”

On a busy Friday, English served a new face among her regulars: a Voorhees County police officer.

When the cop came in for lunch, she served him with her characteristic smile while they spoke casually.

He paid the cashier and went out of the restaurant after eating his lunch.

When it came time to collect the check, his bill was $8.75. He did not, however, simply leave ordinary money and a tip. What he scribbled on his bill made national headlines.

‘It came from the bottom of my heart,’ she says.

Enjoy your first, the Voorhees cop said on his receipt. It’s something you’ll never forget. In addition to his $8.75 tip, she received a $100 tip.

She stated that it was genuine. “It definitely moved her,” her father, Brian, said. “There were many occasions when she received a large tip, but it was the small remark that got her.”

Courtney was so distraught that she sobbed her way to her supervisor. Her father shared her story on Facebook, where it quickly went viral. Many people were moved by this generous act.

What a thoughtful cop; this waitress deserved a rest after all her hard work!
