The note went on to extend condolences to Jacklyn’s family, especially her daughters. “Jackie will be greatly missed, but her positive spirit will always live on with our cast and crew,” he added. “We send our heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones, friends, and family, especially her daughters Cassidy and Lacey,” the message said.
Zeman portrayed Bobbie Spencer on the renowned daytime television show General Hospital for several years.
She began playing the role in 1977 and continued to do so until her death. To date, she has appeared in about 880 episodes as Bobbie Spencer.
General Hospital: Twist of Fate, a TV movie based on the show, starred her as Bobbie Spencer in 1996.
Throughout her career, she appeared in several television shows, including Chicago Hope, The Bay, and One Life to Live.
Rick Springfield, a well-known actor who briefly featured on General Hospital in the 1980s, shared a few words about the late actress and conveyed his sadness at her passing.
“I was startled and heartbroken to learn about Jackie’s death. Such a kind soul with no diva tendencies and only positive things to say about everyone. “She was the one (along with Gloria Monty) who helped launch my 80s career when, after the screen test, Gloria asked Jackie who she thought would make a good Noah Drake and God bless her if Jackie didn’t say me,” Springfield explained.
