Kelsey Grammer, best known for his role as Frasier in the hit show of the same name, has taken a new direction in his career. He has started to take on projects that hold personal significance for him. And what might surprise many is his thoughts on faith. It’s not something you would typically expect from a Hollywood actor.

Grammer’s latest project, titled “Jesus Revolution,” is based on the true story of pastor Chuck Smith, who welcomed hippies and rock music into his church. During this journey, he receives help from street preacher Lonnie Frisbee. The 68-year-old actor is incredibly proud of this film and watched it with his wife, Kayte Walsh.

“It’s really uplifting. It’s a good movie,” said Grammer. “My wife and I saw it together. She was moved to tears and said, ‘It’s the best thing you’ve ever done.’”

Grammer himself was raised as a Christian Scientist but has now become a full-fledged Protestant. He fondly remembers the Jesus hippie movement of the 1960s and ’70s.

“They were energized and optimistic, and I thought that was a great thing to see,” expressed the actor.

Grammer also appreciates the way pastor Chuck Smith embraced counterculture and introduced it into his church.

“What Chuck did aligned with one of the basic principles of Christianity: inclusion,” Grammer explained. “He saw that people weren’t listening to him, so he surrendered and said, ‘You show me a hippie, and I’ll listen.’”

This led to a dynamic relationship between Smith and Lonnie Frisbee. The impact of their adventure is still felt today, with Calvary Chapel expanding into 1,000 churches and Christian contemporary music thriving.

In terms of his personal life, Grammer is a man of faith. He acknowledges that he has faced challenges and questioned his faith, even feeling anger towards God at times. However, he has found peace and comfort in Jesus.

“I have come to terms with it and have found great peace in my faith and in Jesus. It’s not something I’ll apologize for,” shared Grammer.

We wish the actor all the best in his endeavors, and it’s fascinating to learn about his current views on faith. What do you think of Kelsey Grammer’s perspective? Let us know in the comments below and share this article to spread awareness about Grammer’s beliefs.
