Jeezy and Jeannie Mai Jenkins have decided to end their marriage. The rapper, 45, filed for divorce from The Real host, 44, in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple had been married for two-and-a-half years and had a prenuptial agreement in place.

According to the filing, the former couple are “currently living in a bona fide state of separation” and their marriage is “irretrievably broken” with “no hope for reconciliation.” Jeezy is seeking joint legal custody of their daughter, Monaco.

The couple got married in March 2021 and welcomed their daughter in January 2022. They recently celebrated their two-year anniversary with a surprise trip to Vietnam, organized by Jenkins. They had initially planned to get engaged in Vietnam in April 2020 but had to change their plans due to COVID-19.

Jenkins and Jeezy first met on the set of Jenkins’ talk show, The Real, and started dating in November 2018. They went public with their relationship in August 2019. The couple shares a mutual passion for serving others and supporting each other’s endeavors.

Jenkins expressed how important family is in their lives and how they believe it takes a village to raise their daughter. They have a “family first” mindset and rely on relatives to help with childcare as they navigate their busy careers.

While married life has been different from dating for Jenkins, she has found it to be a positive change. She values the concentrated quality time they spent getting to know each other and believes their marriage is handled with delicacy and thoughtfulness.

Jenkins has also been open about the challenges she faced as a new mother, including breastfeeding difficulties and postpartum anxiety. However, she credits her daughter for giving her newfound confidence and a different perspective on life.

The couple has decided to part ways amicably, prioritizing their daughter’s well-being and continuing to co-parent together.
