A man made the decision to tattoo his final words to himself in order to permanently imprint the memories of his deceased daughter in his subconscious mind.

Sadly, the little soul passed away from cancer, but her loving father has now inked his body with the final lines from a note she had left him, immortalizing her memories.

He wrote on social media, “Before my daughter passed away from cancer, she created this drawing for me, and now I wear it on my skin.”

The emotional words “I love you dad,” which appear to be the girl’s last words, are shown in the accompanying photo, which has been shared and stirred up deep feelings.

Netizens have expressed their emotions after being brought to tears by the story:
@Whats4_T_MattyD: I started crying after reading this. As parents, we frequently forget the little things. I’ll treasure every chance, even the simple one of awakening my kids in the morning.
@GrazaWhu: I’ve never been through anything like it, and I can’t even imagine it. I hope he finds comfort in this action.

@DragonLord1975: Years ago, I recall seeing something comparable on #InkMaster. It causes heartstrings to be pulled. The tattoo represents an everlasting BOND between a father and child; it is more than just a permanent mark. That is the important lesson.

Heartbreaking, to quote @RedBloodYNWA. When I saw it, I had to wake up my daughters, take them into their room, and give them a bear hug. How people find the strength to continue after such a traumatic experience is beyond my comprehension.

@steveleavis: It’s both uplifting and heartbreaking at the same time. The strength shown is greater than I could have imagined. I pray for peace for your daughter. I’m going to thank God for my children, who are still with me. I salute you.
