Laurie Murray was adopted as a newborn by a Seattle couple and later became interested about her birth family.
A family acquaintance told the Daily Mail newspaper over 30 years ago. Laurie Murray had enlisted the assistance of a private investigator to locate her biological parents. They learned that Clint Eastwood was listed as her biological father on several documents.
“It appeared that Clint Eastwood had no idea she was even pregnant.”
“I don’t think she had the best upbringing, certainly not privileged,” they continued. When she discovered her biological parents, she called her mother, but she refused to be contacted.”
Clint, thankfully, was open to the approach of his biological daughter.
“It clearly shocked Laurie, but I believe Clint was incredibly responsive to her and the circumstance,” a family friend said.
Laurie and Clint grew closer over time, to the point that she began accompanying the family on all of their excursions.
Clint’s eighth child was first mentioned in Patrick McGilligan’s biography of the actor, Clint: The Life and Legend, when Eastwood’s relationship with Laurie’s real mother was mentioned.
McGilligan told Inside Edition, “I think he was comfortable with it when he discovered she was his daughter and understood she was that person from long before.”
“Laurie and her family are wealthy in their own right,” according to the aforementioned Daily Mail source. So it wasn’t a case of someone creeping out of the woodwork looking for money, as I’m sure Clint Eastwood is used to.
“Laurie is a very wonderful woman who is very private; she would never go around telling people this.”
Clint has eight children: Kyle and Alison from his marriage to Maggie Johnson; Kimber from an affair with Roxanne Tunis while still married to Johnson; Scott and Kathryn from a relationship with Jacelyn Reeves; Francesca from a relationship with Frances Fisher; and Morgan from his marriage to current wife Dina Ruiz.
