Bijou Phillips, the actress known for her role in That ’70s Show, has filed for divorce from her husband, Danny Masterson, who was recently sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for rape. In the divorce documents, Phillips is requesting spousal support and full custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Fianna. The papers also reveal that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place. Phillips cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, and she is asking the court to divide their assets as separate property. She has also requested that Masterson pay her attorney’s fees.

Masterson’s defense attorney has not yet commented on the divorce filing, but Phillips’ lawyer has stated that her priority is their daughter and acknowledges Masterson as a wonderful father. The news of the split was first reported by TMZ.

This development comes after Phillips was present in court for Masterson’s sentencing, where he was seen blowing a kiss to his wife before being led away to prison. A source close to Phillips shared that she is “distraught” over the sentencing and is surrounded by family and friends for support.

Masterson was found guilty of two counts of rape by a jury in Los Angeles Superior Court. A third count resulted in a hung jury. His attorney has stated that he plans to appeal the verdict.

The allegations against Masterson first surfaced in 2017, and he was subsequently removed from the Netflix series The Ranch. Many of the allegations stem from incidents that occurred in the early 2000s at Masterson’s home. The LAPD conducted an investigation into the sexual assault allegations, and more women came forward with similar accusations.
