It seems like The Rolling Stones are putting out new music!

Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Bill Wyman, and Keith Richards make up the band at the moment. On Monday, the band appeared to tease news of their 31st album by placing an advertisement for a glass manufacturer in the London daily, the Hackney Gazette.

Simon Harper, the publisher of Clash, posted a picture of the advertisement on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Monday. It read:

Diamonds from Hackney. experts in the repair of glass. You will be satisfied, according to our amiable staff. When you call for shelter, we’ll replace your broken windows.

A store for the glass manufacturer will open on Mare Street, a street in London’s Hackney, in September 2023, according to the red advertisement. The advertisement also included a phone number for clients who want a quote.

Anybody notice this? An advertisement for a business called Hackney Diamonds that teased Rolling Stones song names appeared in the Hackney Gazette. They were created in 1962, the same year the Rolling Stones did. The Stones’ record label, Universal Music, appears to administer the website. a sign that their long-awaited new album is coming? Harper annotated the picture.

Harper pointed out that the newspaper advertisement stated that the glass company was founded in 1962, the same year that The Rolling Stones were launched.

Another clue was the band’s well-known tongue logo, which can be seen as the dot on the “i” in the word “Diamonds,” and that the website mentioned in the advertisement, hackneydiamonds.com, is owned by Universal Music, the group’s record company.

Our request for comment from The Rolling Stones’ representatives was not immediately answered.

The new album is anticipated to include songs by the band’s late drummer, Charlie Watts, according to a story from The Times.

Watts, who had been a member of the group since 1963, passed away in August 2021 at the age of 80 as a result of an unidentified illness.

At the time, Watts’ publicist told us, “Charlie was a beloved husband, father, and grandpa as well as one of The Rolling Stones’ greatest drummers of his generation. In this trying time, “We kindly request that the privacy of his family, band members, and close friends be respected.”

Jagger posted a video in memory of his late bandmate on the day when it had been one year after Watts’ passing.

In the narration for the video, Jagger said, “I miss Charlie because he had a tremendous sense of humor. “You know, we used to hang out quite a bit outside of the band and have interesting times. We adored sports. We had interests besides only music; we would attend cricket and football tournaments.
