Following a tumble at his villa over the weekend, Sir Elton John received medical attention in a hospital.

After spending the night at the Princess Grace in Monaco, the ‘Rocket Man’ singer has since been released.

Following the event, a spokeswoman for the 76-year-old assured the media that he is in “good health.”

After his historic Glastonbury performance, Sir Elton was last spotted relaxing on his superyacht in the days before he fell.

Before the unexpected incident, the “Yellow Brick Road” singer had traveled to Nice and was staying at his property.

The 76-year-old was seen by the orthopaedic department while receiving hospital care before being released on Monday morning (August 28).

His representative informed the MailOnline that the singer was in “good health” after returning to his home in the South of France.

“We can confirm that Elton visited the neighborhood hospital as a precautionary measure following a slip yesterday at his home in the south of France,” their statement said.

Following examinations, he was released from the hospital this morning. He is now back at home and in good health.

His downfall follows the star’s recent retirement from touring, during which he thanked the audience for “52 years of joy” at his final performance.

The 76-year-old completed 330 events on his remarkable “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour and earned an astounding £745 million ($939.1 million) from the sold-out performances.

Sir Elton played the renowned Pyramid stage at the Glastonbury music festival amidst the nonstop performances.

He performed his final show on July 9 after wrapping up the event in late June. After that, he continued touring for another month.

“I’ve had the most wonderful career, beyond belief,” he told the crowd as he concluded his final performance in Stockholm, Sweden. How fortunate am I to play music after 52 years of unadulterated joy?

But, you know, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be sitting here and talking to you. You purchased the singles, albums, CDs, and cassettes, but more importantly, you purchased the concert tickets because you are aware of my enthusiasm for performing live.

The five-time Grammy winner then sang “Your Song” and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” two of his best-known songs.

The musician has chosen to stop touring to spend more time with his children and family, though he hasn’t ruled out additional albums.
