WESH newswoman Luana Munoz was seen breaking down and crying on live TV while reporting on an earlier that day Orlando gun spree. Three people were murdered in the incident, including another news reporter, Dylan Lyons, and two others were seriously injured.

Lyons was going about his day. Keith Moses, a Florida resident, was later identified as the person who shot and killed a woman he knew earlier that day. Lyons was reporting from the crime scene when Moses reappeared and shot and killed him in the middle of his story.

Moses also shot his cameraman colleague, who is now in critical condition. Both victims worked for Spectrum News 13 but have no apparent connection to the suspect. After learning of Lyons’ death, Munoz went to the hospital where he died later that night to make her report.

“All right, my apologies. “This is incredibly difficult to cover,” Munoz said, wiping tears from her eyes and spoke with quivering voice. “It’s an emotional scenario at [Orlando Regional Medical Center]. I’m not going to turn the camera since everyone here knows the reporter – his fiancee and I were hugging.”

She noted on how fantastic it is to see media members join in solidarity following the Orlando shooting spree – calling it ‘every reporter’s worst fear. “We go to bed at night afraid that something like this may happen, and that is exactly what occurred here,” she explained. Lyons was only 24 at the time.

“Now we’re back at [ORMC], where we’ve discovered that a colleague reporter was killed while covering a gunshot. “There are members of his family and his fiancĂ©e here tonight who are upset,” she said before sending it to the studio to ‘collect herself.’

The gunman recognized Nathacha Augustin, a victim from earlier that day. Moses killed her at 11 a.m., few hours before returning to the location and killing Lyons while hurting his colleague. Moses was arrested and charged with murder; further charges are pending.

Unfortunately, the shooting spree in Orlando did not end there. The shooter entered a neighboring property and began his massacre shortly after shooting and killing Dylan Lyons. Within the residence, a mother and her 9-year-old daughter were shot; the mother is in critical condition, but her daughter was killed.

Police have not discovered a motive for the killings, but they believe the shooter had no ties to either the mother or the 9-year-old child. They are currently evaluating all of the evidence, and an investigation is underway to piece together what happened. Orlando has been rocked by the tragedy.

Moses, who is only 19 years old, has a criminal record that includes a misdemeanor for drug use and allegations of possession of drug paraphernalia in November 2021. According to authorities, he was also arrested for aggravated battery, assault, and grand theft during his adolescence.

“We are devastated by the loss of our colleague and the other lives that were senselessly lost today. Our sympathies are with our employees’ families, friends, and coworkers during this awful time. “We remain hopeful that our other injured colleague will recover fully,” Spectrum News reported.
