After Madeleine McCann, then four years old, went missing from an apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, while her parents were out for supper, her case has become “the most heavily covered missing-person case in modern history.”

Unfortunately, 15 years later, no one knows where Madeleine is or if she is still alive, yet her parents and family never gave up hope of ever seeing her again.

On what would have been her 18th birthday, May 12, 2022, her bereaved parents shared a heartbreaking message. “We love you, we’re waiting for you, and we’ll never give up.”

Her disappearance is still being investigated, and her mother and father, who were once suspects, claim they never gave up hope of finding their daughter.

Detectives working on Madeleine’s investigation stated in 2020 that they believe the girl was murdered. According to the Evening Standard Newspaper, German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters believes the defendant in the case, Christian Brueckner, did not relocate the girl from Praia da Luz to Germany as many believe, but instead executed her in Portugal. “I am optimistic that we will be able to solve this issue,” Wolters added.

Christian Brueckner, 44, a German pedophile, is currently serving a seven-year term for raping a 72-year-old American in Praia da Luz in 2005. At the same time, he is awaiting a trial in another case in which he is accused of raping an Irish tour representative in 2004.

The story has seen a dramatic resurgence in recent days, with everyone stunned by a 21-year-old Polish woman named Julia Wendell, who has gone viral after sensationally claiming to be Madeleine McCann. Julia has over a million Instagram followers, where she posts ‘proof’ of her allegations.

Julia posts evidence of her allegations on her Instagram account, “Help me, I need to talk with Kate and Gerry McCann,” with the username “iammadeleinemccan,” including the famed unusual eye condition and other facial traits. Julia claims to remember very little of her childhood.

In statements made to the Daily Star, Julia said:”I have lived a really terrible life and suffered a lot of trauma, my abuser was a German paedophile who was a suspect in the Madeleine McCann inquiry.

“I had not heard of this case until I started asking my parents questions about my upbringing as I have little to no memory of it. The recollections are all hazy, and when I talk to my parents, nothing seems to add together, and they continually want to avoid the issue.”

“I don’t recall being taken away,” Julia added. I mean, I don’t recall much of my childhood… I’ve requested for images of my mother while she was pregnant with me, as well as other medical papers and pictures from my childhood, but she never provides them to me and instead tells me I’m insane.

“My school teacher when I was quite little said that I wasn’t there from the start but my parents say I was. After all of this turmoil, I started doing my own research and learned what happened to Madeleine McCann and began to piece together the commonalities we shared. Trying to convince people to listen to me has been really difficult.”

According to media reports, Julia’s narrative reached Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry, who are eager to follow up on the lead. They could also accept Julia’s offer to conduct a DNA test.

Julia herself has validated this information. “Thank you for your help! Kate and Gerry McCann have consented to take a DNA test!” she said on Instagram.

Julia’s parents are not pleased with what she does, according to her. They call her “horrible” for giving the McCanns false hope.

We sincerely hope that the case of Madeleine McCann will be solved and her parents will be able to find some peace.
