Women have made progress in their fight for equality. Women have battled for equal compensation and rights as their male colleagues. Other women, on the other hand, are pleased to stay at home and raise their children. A mother from San Diego has spoken out about her life and her decision to be a housewife, or what some refer to as a “tradwife.”

The Purpose of a Housewife
Alexia Delarosa, 29, is a mother of two. She stays at home to cook, clean, and care for her children. She stated that she chose this life because of her relationship with her mother. “My mother worked and loved spending time with people outside of our family home. I’ve always wanted a more traditional family model. Delarosa expressed a yearning for a more conventional family setting. “I liked the idea of a 1950s-style family life, when the lady remains at home to care for her husband and children and the husband works full-time.” The term ‘tradwife,’ which means ‘traditional wife,’ is becoming more popular.

Having a Shared Objective
She wanted to make sure she and her now-husband, 37-year-old Matthew, were on the same page when they first met. They discussed their future goals early on. They were fortunate to share a similar ambition, and they now have two sons, Archer and Arlo. “I remember watching films where the women would remain home to cook and clean for their husbands, and I thought that was a charming and sweet life. It struck a chord with me.” “When I fell pregnant with our first son, Archer, now two, we agreed very early on that I would stay home with him,” she said.

Creating Happiness
Although she is now a mother and housewife, she used to play another role. Delarosa revealed that she worked part-time before having their second kid. “I had a part-time at-home baking company, but when I became pregnant with our second son, Arlo, one, I became completely focused on caring for the two boys, Matthew, and our home.” “I’ve always loved homemaking, and I was more than glad to take on this responsibility,” she continues. Matthew owns and operates a coffee shop, earning enough money to maintain his family. He works long and hard hours. As a result, Alexia makes certain that everything is in order so that her husband is not concerned.

Life-Changing Decisions
It turns out that she isn’t the only mother who has decided to stay at home. Many of our aunts, moms, and grandmothers were involved in the Women’s Rights Movement. The movement advanced, and many liberties were granted to women. On the other hand, we frequently learn from previous generations what works and what doesn’t. As a result, many children in recent years have found themselves missing their mothers more than any earlier generation whose mothers were actively involved in the family.

Life is not without its problems, whether you are a mom attempting to combine family and work, or a housewife taking on the ‘tradwife’ tasks of prior generations. Many people believe that choosing to be a housewife holds women back. But, we are all people trying to make the best of our lives, and Delarosa and others are merely making decisions that they believe are best for their families. What are your thoughts?
