In a string of new directives since taking office, Trump has implemented measures that impact the transgender community. One order prevents trans individuals from military service, while another directs trans women to be detained in male prisons upon arrest.

This week, a fresh executive order specifically bans trans women from participating in female sports. Titled โ€˜Keeping Men Out of Womenโ€™s Sports,โ€™ the policy aims to reform the regulations governing the Olympics before the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

The order urges the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to revise its rules to ensure โ€œfairness, safety, and the best interests of female athletes.โ€ This includes determining eligibility for womenโ€™s sports based on sex rather than gender identity or testosterone levels.

Additionally, the order seeks immediate action against educational institutions and sports organizations that fail to provide single-sex sports and changing rooms exclusively for women.

It also calls for the Secretary of State and the Department of Homeland Security to review and adjust policies relating to the admission of individuals seeking to compete in womenโ€™s sports in the U.S.

Trump addressed the matter saying, โ€œFrom now on, womenโ€™s sports will be exclusively for women.โ€

He continued, โ€œWeโ€™ve removed the influence of woke ideology from our military and now weโ€™re tackling womenโ€™s sports.โ€

โ€œIn Los Angeles in 2028, my administration will not allow male athletes to overpower female competitors. We are committed to preventing such occurrences.โ€

โ€œMoreover, I am instructing our Secretary of Homeland Security to deny any visa applications from males falsely claiming to be female athletes seeking entrance into the U.S. for competition,โ€ Trump emphasized.
