One morning, a blonde calls her boyfriend in a bit of a panic. She’s been working on a jigsaw puzzle for hours but is struggling to make any sense of it. Frustrated and out of ideas, she picks up the phone and asks for his help.

“Please, come over and help me. I have this challenging jigsaw puzzle, and I just can’t figure out how to get started.” Her boyfriend, ever supportive, listens patiently. He asks, “Alright, what is it supposed to look like when it’s finished?”

Excited to have a bit of guidance, she answers eagerly, “According to the picture on the box, it’s a rooster!” Her boyfriend pauses for a moment, slightly puzzled but intrigued by the unusual request. He promises to come over to lend a hand.

A little while later, he arrives at her house, and she leads him over to the table where the puzzle pieces are spread out. But instead of puzzle pieces with distinct shapes and colors, he notices something surprising.

The table is covered with tiny, flat pieces, all shaped the same and without any colors or images to suggest they belong in a puzzle.

He takes a step closer, glancing at the box and then at the pieces scattered on the table. After carefully examining the “puzzle” pieces, he finally looks at her with a small, amused smile. He realizes what’s going on but is trying not to laugh.

Trying to keep things light-hearted, he gently says, “Alright, first of all, I have to tell you that, no matter how hard we try, these pieces aren’t going to look like a rooster.” She frowns, a little confused and embarrassed, and asks him what he means.

“Well,” he continues, trying to hide his chuckle, “the pieces don’t belong to a jigsaw puzzle at all.” He points to the box, which she thought was the puzzle box, revealing that it’s actually a box of Corn Flakes cereal.

He adds with a grin, “Why don’t we forget the puzzle and have a nice cup of tea instead? And maybe let’s put all these Corn Flakes back in the box!”

The blonde’s eyes widen as she realizes her mistake. She bursts into laughter, and the two share a hearty chuckle over her confusion. What she thought was a rooster puzzle was, in fact, just an ordinary box of cereal!

They both enjoy the humor of the situation, grateful for the lighthearted moment.
