Reality shows have grown in popularity in recent years, and people appear to adore them.

One such show is American Pickers. It follows experts Mike and Frank as they scavenge for treasure in people’s houses, garages, and basements. However, after more than a decade, The History Channel revealed that Frank Fritz will be leaving the cast of the show, for a tragic cause.

Fritz had health problems in recent years as a result of a severe breakup with the lady he loved.

He and Diann Bankson met when he was 25 and began an on-again, off-again relationship. They eventually got engaged in 2017 and moved live together a year later in an Iowa farmhouse they owned.

By the end of 2018, though, they were accusing each other of adultery. She said she found him with another lady, and he said how she was dating someone else for the last two years and a half. Despite this, he desired to marry her, but the two were unable to reconcile.

“She’s the cheater, which is why I got a tattoo that says, ‘Once a cheater, always a cheater,’” Fritz explained to The Sun. He went on to say that the tattoo will act as a reminder not to commit “the same mistake again.” He went on to say that Diann had “cost” him a lot of money.

He began drinking excessively at that point, which had a negative impact on his health.
Fritz did not appear on his show again in 2020, following back surgery, although believing he would be granted another chance.

At the same time, Diann began dating another man and made it a point to publicly express her feelings for him.

“He took me to watch Elton John’s Yellow Brick Road Farewell Tour,” she wrote about her new love on one occasion. I’m a really fortunate young lady. I adore you, Babe oxo.”

Fritz experienced a major stroke in July 2022. His friend discovered him on the floor and phoned 911.
Fritz was sent to a nursing facility and placed under guardianship after being released from the hospital. On October 18, a friend of his was reported to have submitted a Guardian’s Initial Care Plan for Protected Person. “Because of his stroke, Mr. Fritz’s decision-making capacity is so compromised that he is unable to care for his own safety, or to supply needs such as food, shelter, clothes, or medical care, without which physical injury or illness may ensue,” according to the court statement. Mr. Fritz is unable to make, explain, or carry out significant financial decisions for himself.

“The appointment of a guardian and conservator is required to prevent urgent harm to him,” the court ruled.

As his guardian, the acquaintance would be required to provide a yearly report.

We sincerely hope that the former American Pickers presenter will be able to recuperate in the coming months.
