In April, Libby, a 7-month-old domestic shorthaired stray cat, suffered severe burns in a fire in Downtown Phoenix, according to a news release from the Arizona Humane Society.

The unhappy cat reportedly sustained burns to her paw pads, ears, nose, and body from melting plastic. She also had scorched fur and whiskers.

She was transferred from a neighborhood emergency room to the trauma facility managed by AHS, where she began the recovery process. Libby received subcutaneous fluids, antibiotics, and painkillers.

She received medical attention for her wounds and was examined for any potential respiratory problems brought on by smoke inhalation.

After a month of treatment, she underwent numerous medical procedures as she recovered in a foster home.

Libby, who is 11 months old, has begun looking for her future family now that she has adequately recovered after several months of recuperation.

We genuinely hope that Libby soon finds her forever home because she has recovered so wonderfully. Thank you to everyone that gave her assistance!
