Si Robertson of Duck Dynasty, a reality television series that aired on A&E from 2012 to 2017, depicting the life of the Robertson family, who became successful through their family-operated business, Duck Commander, announced his surgery in June 2022. He was compelled to undergo potentially fatal lung surgery.

Si discussed his health on his podcast Duck Call Room, claiming that it has been deteriorating since he contracted COVID-19 in 2021. He indicated that the situation was alarming and that he did not believe he would survive.

Si, according to him and others close to him, did little to better his condition because he refused to go to the hospital and afterwards refused to take the prescriptions provided to him.
Unfortunately, just as he believed he was feeling better, he had new health problems, this time involving his lungs. Si could readily inhale, but when he exhaled, one of his lungs did not function properly, so he was scheduled to have surgery to implant a device that will allow the underperforming lung to exhale the required amount of air.

“I had some testing in Houston,” Uncle Si explained on Facebook. “There are a few more things we have to complete, but it looks like I’m approved for lung surgery. Then I’ll be able to bore your ears with even more stories, all of which are guaranteed to be 95% true!”

His admirers came there to send prayers and wish him a swift recovery, as predicted. “Prayers for your operation and a swift recovery may God Bless you through all of this I hope your family keeps us posted on how you’re doing you are one special dude,” one fan commented.

Si admitted that the most of his lung problems were caused by his regular smoking.

Ultimately, in September 2022, Uncle Si had the surgery, which was a success, much to the surprise of his family, friends, and many fans.

“The doc says surgery went excellent,” Si said on Instagram. I’m eager to get back to work, Jack! Thank you for your prayers and support. It means everything to us,” he wrote, alongside a photo of himself in the hospital bed.

We sincerely hope Uncle Si’s health problems are passed.
