The true shock came from the sight of two small children wearing only diapers, standing confused and dazed in the middle of the road after being thrown from the vehicle.

The footage moves on to show one child managing to stand and being comforted by an adult. Another adult quickly approaches the second child, picks them up securely, and guides them away from the chaotic scene.

Initially posted on Facebook, the video’s caption read:

Following the terrifying incident, both children were taken to a nearby hospital. Medical staff reported that they were in serious but stable conditions.

It was revealed by the sheriff’s office that, unfortunately, neither child was secured in a car seat at the accident’s time.

“They were simply sitting in the back of the vehicle, unrestrained,” stated Deputy Thomas Gilliland.
