Vanilla Mousse Cake with Chocolate Glaze ๐ซ๐ฐ
Ingredients:
Cocoa Sponge:
3 eggs
100 g sugar
80 g flour
20 g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
50 ml oil
Vanilla Mousse:
300 ml cold heavy cream
250 g mascarpone
100 g powdered sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
8 g gelatin + 50 ml cold water
Chocolate Glaze:
100 g dark chocolate
100 ml heavy cream
Decoration:
- Dark chocolate flakes
Instructions:
1๏ธโฃ Bake the sponge cake:
Beat the eggs with the sugar until light and frothy. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a rectangular baking tray and bake at 180ยฐC (356ยฐF) for about 20 minutes. Let it cool completely.
2๏ธโฃ Prepare the mousse:
Soak the gelatin in cold water for 10 minutes, then melt it gently. Whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks, then fold in the mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Incorporate the melted gelatin. Spread the mousse evenly over the cooled sponge and refrigerate for 2โ3 hours.
3๏ธโฃ Make the glaze:
Heat the cream and pour it over the broken chocolate pieces. Stir until smooth and glossy. Pour the glaze over the mousse layer.
4๏ธโฃ Decorate:
Sprinkle with dark chocolate flakes.
Decorating and Serving Tips:
Cut the cake into equal squares. Garnish each piece with grated chocolate for an elegant presentation.
