“If he gets a transplant, his cancer will go away quicker,” said Ava, with Leah adding, “People are so sweet to want to help my dad. The more people that get tested the better.” Their odds seemed daunting, yet thousands responded with support.
Though luck found them with a match through Kevin’s brother Chris, the story went beyond hope; it inspired thousands to join a national registry, potentially saving other lives and demonstrating the twins’ influence.
