Hunter Biden has responded to the news that Melania Trump is threatening to sue him for $1 billion.

This comes after Hunter made statements about her alleged connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
Since Donald Trump re-entered the political scene for his second term, there have been numerous conspiracy theories regarding Jeffrey Epstein.
In a recent interview, Hunter, who is the son of former President Joe Biden, suggested that Melania was introduced to Trump by someone with a troubling past. Speaking with filmmaker Andrew Callaghan, Hunter commented, “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump โ the connections are so wide and deep,” and he implied that secret files might incriminate President Trump.
This prompted Melaniaโs legal team to send Hunter a letter, as reported by the BBC. They demanded him to withdraw his ‘false, disparaging, defamatory, and inflammatory’ remarks and provide an apology, or face a legal battle that could cost at least $1 billion.

The letter, crafted by lawyer Alejandro Brito, accused Hunter of inflicting ‘overwhelming financial and reputational harm’ on Melania.
Brito remarked, โItโs apparent you published these false claims for personal attention.โ
In documents seen by the BBC, the claim by Hunter was reportedly linked to journalist Michael Wolff, who had indicated in a once-published and now-deleted Daily Beast interview that Melania was connected to Trump by someone who had ties to both Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
An update from The Daily Beast noted: โWe received a letter from First Lady Melania Trumpโs attorney disputing the original headline and context. After reconsideration, we have retracted the story and apologize for any confusion.โ

Faced with the threat of a lawsuit, Hunter Biden has struck back with a defiant response during a recent Channel 5 interview.
When asked by Channel 5โs Andrew Callaghan if he planned to apologize to Melania, Hunter replied bluntly, “F**k that, that’s not going to happen.”

Hunter elaborated further: “Honestly, these threats of a lawsuit seem more like a tactic meant to sidetrack attention. It’s not really about who introduced whom. I’m doubtful this even amounts to defamation.”
He continued: “I think theyโre trying to intimidate me, but a billion dollars isnโt enough to scare me.โ
The Justice Department has noted previously that they hold over 200 pages of documents related to Epstein, while it’s said the FBI holds even more.
