A Bit of Tension Between Kate Middleton and Melania Trump During Their UK Visit?

Recently, Donald and Melania Trump concluded their significant three-day visit to the UK, returning to the US afterward. This visit was quite the event, especially with their meeting alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Melania took on her role as First Lady, collaborating with Kate Middleton. At first glance, the two seemed to get along nicely, but a body language expert suggested that there might have been a subtle encounter that seemed a tad awkward.

The Trumps landed in the UK late on a Tuesday for Donald’s second state visit—a rarity, given no other president has been extended a second invitation. His initial visit happened during Queen Elizabeth’s time.

This occasion was high in grandeur, complemented by tight security, as Prince William and Kate welcomed the Trumps at Windsor. After a grand state banquet on Wednesday evening, Thursday was reserved for Melania and Kate’s interactions.

The two explored Queen Mary’s Dolls House and the Royal Library at Windsor Castle, moving on later to Frogmore Gardens.

There, they engaged in playful activities with children aged 4 to 6 from the Scouts’ Squirrels program, indulging in arts and crafts. Melania dove in, enthusiastically pressing inked leaves onto paper and interacting with the children, exclaiming, “This is beautiful!” about their projects.

Kate seemed relaxed, chatting on the grass with the young ones about their artistic exploits. One eager child took Melania’s hand to showcase “bug hotels” crafted from cardboard.

Melania was genuinely intrigued, inquiring, “Show me how, what I should do?” and shared that she favored ladybugs. Both women brought goodies for the children—Kate had sandwiches prepared with honey from Anmer Hall, and Melania had treats from the White House’s own beehives.

Melania appeared to thoroughly enjoy herself. According to royal watcher Victoria Arbiter, working alongside Kate added substantial substance to her itinerary, extending beyond the usual fashion focus.

“People continually comment on what these prominent women wear,” Arbiter noted on Today Extra. “Both have showcased their home countries’ designers beautifully, yet the White House aimed to add more substance to Melania’s agenda.”

Arbiter observed Melania was slightly reserved initially, but children possess a wonderful knack for breaking the ice, even with a First Lady. The kids engaged her attentively, climbing into her lap, drawing together, asking numerous questions, and her interest was evident.

Whether Kate and Melania will become close friends remains to be seen. Interestingly, King Charles and Donald Trump frequently exchange letters, hinting that a similar connection could develop here as well.

Upon the Trumps’ arrival, a notable interaction occurred as William and Kate conversed with them, joined by King Charles and Queen Camilla. Body language expert and psychic Inbaal Honigman analyzed a photo showing Melania speaking to Kate with Camilla positioned between them, noting an underlying tension.

“Queen Camilla appears the most relaxed, standing with feet apart, casually marking her space,” Honigman explained to Unilad. “Conversely, Kate and Melania stand with feet close together, a possible sign of unease.”

Honigman elaborated: “Their facial expressions are serene with polite smiles, but look at their hands. Kate’s hands clasp in front as if shielded. Meanwhile, Melania’s are clenched into a fist, a gesture that may indicate feeling somewhat out of place, akin to a fish out of water.”
