There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the President’s health over the past months. Recently, Donald Trump, who is 79 years old, paid a visit to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center for an MRI scan. Although his doctor assures the public that the president is in excellent health, not everyone is convinced. Former White House doctor Jeffrey Kuhlman has expressed his doubts.
News of Donald Trump’s visit to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center for an MRI scan surprised quite a few people last month.
On October 10, Trump’s doctor, Sean Barbabella, issued a statement explaining that comprehensive imaging, lab tests, and preventive health assessments were conducted during the visit.
Barbabella mentioned that the extensive lab work was outstanding, highlighting stable metabolic, blood, and heart parameters. Furthermore, Trump was given his annual flu shot and an updated COVID-19 booster.
“President Trump continues to exhibit excellent overall health,” noted Barbabella. “His cardiac age—a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality through ECG—is approximately 14 years younger than his actual age.”
While aboard Air Force One, Trump addressed his medical visit.
Trump’s Take on His Health
“I’ve shared all the results with you,” Trump remarked to reporters while flying to Japan. “We did an MRI, MRI and the whole procedure, and everything was perfect.”
Trump added, “I think you got a very definitive report. If I didn’t believe it was good, I’d let you know, either negatively or I wouldn’t be running; I’d find something else to do. But the doctors gave me some of the best results they’ve ever seen for my age.”
Donald Trump, being one of the oldest presidents in U.S. history, did not specify the exact reason for undergoing the MRI. These scans help create images of what’s inside the body and can uncover many conditions.
Despite reassurances from Trump and the White House that the medical visit was routine, not everyone agrees.
Former White House doctor Jeffrey Kuhlman, who served under Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, brought up his concerns in a conversation with The Hill.
Questions from a Former White House Doctor
Kuhlman suspects that Trump might be hiding something. He raises the question: if all tests, including those beyond MRI, could be completed in just 15 minutes at the White House, why was so much time spent?
Kuhlman explained to The Hill, “The helicopter trip from the South Lawn to Walter Reed takes about eight minutes. So, he had over four hours available for medical treatment, which doesn’t quite add up.”
