No One Can Resist Them! 🍩 The Fluffiest, Most Irresistible Donuts Ever
Donuts are a favorite treat for both kids and adults—soft, fragrant, and dusted with powdered sugar that sticks to your lips and nose as you enjoy each bite…
This is one of the best existing recipes for classic fried yeast donuts. Yes, the dough needs time to rise—but the wait is absolutely worth it. The result? Perfectly fluffy and delicious golden pillows.
Ingredients:
400 ml warm milk
1 cube fresh yeast (40 g)
1 tablespoon sugar
2 eggs
50 ml oil
700 g fine flour
1 tablespoon salt
Oil for frying
50 g powdered sugar for topping
Optional: Nutella, jam, custard, or any filling you love
Instructions:
Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk with the sugar. Crumble the yeast beforehand for quicker dissolving. Add half the flour and stir until smooth.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the salt, then add them to the mixture along with the oil. Mix well until fully combined.
Gradually add the remaining flour and knead until you get a soft but firm dough.
Lightly dust the dough with flour, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.
On a floured surface, gently knead the dough, then roll it out to about 1 cm (½ inch) thickness. Use a glass to cut out donut shapes. Re-roll the leftover dough and repeat until used up.
Place the cut donuts on a surface, cover them with a towel or plastic wrap to prevent drying out, and let them rise again for about 20 minutes.
Fry the donuts in hot oil, starting with the side that was facing down. Fry on medium heat until golden, then flip to cook the other side. Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
While still warm, dust with powdered sugar and, if desired, fill with your favorite cream or jam.
Serve and enjoy warm for the ultimate comfort treat! 😋
