Ingredients:

For the fruit layer:

1 apple

1/2 lemon

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon butter

Cinnamon to taste

1 tablespoon apricot jam

For the batter:

2 eggs

8 g vanilla sugar

A pinch of salt

100 g sugar

100 ml oil

150 g thick yogurt or sour cream

200 g flour

15 g baking powder

Powdered sugar for dusting on top

Preparation:

Slice the apple thinly and drizzle it with juice from half a lemon. In a dry pan, melt the sugar and butter until caramelized. Add the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Stir in the apricot jam, then set aside to cool.

Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt, regular sugar, and vanilla sugar until light and creamy. Add the oil and yogurt, mix well, then gradually incorporate the sifted flour mixed with baking powder.

Pour the batter into a greased and lined 18×27 cm baking dish. Arrange the apple mixture on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes.
