They’re So Delicious, I’ve Started Making Them Every Day… An Incredibly Simple Mashed Potato Recipe! 🥔

They’re so good, I make them almost daily! A very simple recipe that my whole family and all our friends absolutely love.

My family can’t get enough of these incredibly tasty meat and mashed potato patties—they ask for them at least three times a week!

They’re so addictive that I cook them all the time. It’s a quick and easy recipe. Try it and let me know if you enjoyed my grandfather’s recipe from Hungary.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients

For the mashed potato mixture:

3 eggs

Salt, black pepper, oregano

1/2 cup milk (100 ml)

30 g melted butter

500 g boiled and mashed potatoes

After combining, mix in:

1 bunch of green onions, finely chopped

4 tablespoons potato starch or flour

For the meat mixture (sauté):

3–4 garlic cloves

1 onion

250 g ground meat

Finely chopped parsley (added once the meat changes color)

For the mushroom sauce topping (cook separately):

60 g butter

250 g mushrooms

1 finely chopped onion

Salt to taste

When mushrooms are sautéed, add:

1 cup sour cream or heavy cream (200 ml)

Grated garlic to taste

Salt, black pepper, nutmeg

How to shape and cook:

On a floured surface, place a scoop of the mashed potato mixture. Add a spoonful of the meat filling in the center and a small piece of butter or cheese, then seal and shape into a patty.

Fry in moderately hot oil until golden brown on both sides.

Top with the warm mushroom sauce before serving.
