“Coming to NYU, if he shows any interest in dating, he might develop some liberal views, that’s for sure,” one student quipped.

In February, Vanity Fair quoted Kaya Walker, then-president of NYU’s College Republican club, who referred to Barron as “an oddity on campus.” This remark quickly caught fire, leading to criticism from conservative groups.
Walker stepped down from her leadership role, advised by the College Republicans of America, and later penned an open letter defending her intentions, arguing her words were misunderstood.
“I genuinely feel for him trying to have a normal college experience,” she shared with The New York Post.

Echoing this, Melania Trump expressed in a December talk with Fox News that Barron is “quite vocal” in suggesting political approaches to his father.
“He understands his generation well,” she added. “They’re digital natives, always on gadgets and consuming content from podcasts and streaming platforms.”
Currently, Barron’s main focus is on his studies, but there’s growing speculation about where his path might lead.
